An actress who has worked with actors much senior to her (Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Govinda…and other Bollywood fuddy-duddies) Katrina is now pairing up with guys her age.
Her dostana with Ranbir Kapoor was for real on the sets of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. A source from the film’s unit says that in the initial days of the shoot, Katrina would not let pass by any opportunity to rag Ranbir. Since he’s only two-films old in the industry where Katrina has struggled for six years, she would mockingly boss him around, and he would feign subservience. It created quite a funny atmosphere on the sets of the film which is a rom-com.
“With Ranbir, I can be myself. I guess it’s the age and the film’s a comedy…” Katrina is quoted as saying by Delhi Times.
Surprisingly, Katrina admitted in a recent interview that she doesn’t even gel so well with Akshay Kumar, her favourite co-star, as she does with the younger lot like Ranbir and Neil Nitin Mukesh (her New York co-star).
“When I get talking with Akshay, he says ‘oh Katrina, go and talk to Jenny (Akshay’s fitness trainer, a firang)’. But with the young actors I can really talk my stuff,” Katrina had said.
While shooting with Katrina, Ranbir also became quite fond of her.
“She’s a treat,” he told the news daily.
Well, Salman Khan and Deepika Padukone need not worry.
